...to change? thanks.? I purchased this car about 2 weeks ago & its got a bad idle to it. So i took it to Advanced Auto Parts & they put it on a tester thing && said the "oxygen sensor" was bad. They said that there may be more than one but i have no clue where to locate these. Anything could help me at this point. Thanks.
 
I drive a 2000 Grand AM and my check engine light has been on for over a year now and the computer scan only says the oxygen sensor is bad. So I would think your car would still be ok to drive for quite a while. Also you can just call a repair shop and ask their advice an O2 sensor costs about $70 plus labor for installation.
 
it should have 2 oxygen sensors they aren't that hard to replace you do need a special socket to remove them on some cars not sure if your does or not they will either be in your exhaust manifold or under the car towards the front with wired connected to them looks almost like a over sized spark plug with a wire coming out of top of it
