How many of you listen to Lou Dobbs on CNN and/or Bill O'Reilly on Fox News?

Since I became an independent in 2008, I have been listening to these 2 guys quite a bit. They bring stories to the forefront that the 3 major networks won't. They are fair, giving credit where it is due and blame where it is due without taking sides. Each had positives and negatives about Bush and have positives and negatives about Obama. I am new to watching the news on cable, but I feel that by watching these 2 guys I get more important news and opinions that the major networks do not give me. It also seems to me that everyone at MSNBC and people like Sean Hannity on Fox News have a bias that Dobbs and O'Reilly do not have. It is refreshing and I feel better informed. For instance, these 2 guys reported on the corruption at ACORN while the major networks did not.

I agree with you, I watch Fox news, CNN and CBS. O'Reilly is my favorite, No favorites on CNN, I watch CBS mainly to see what they report and what they leave out.. It's very interesting.. Hannity gets on my nerves when he starts to over exaggerate to get his point across. I understand his passion but he is obviously biased.

I don't listen to either of these commentators. They are not journalists, rather they are entertainers.

If you want real broadcast news then go to the BBC World News and The News Hour with Jim Lehrer on PBS or listen to NPR on your radio. At least those outlets have real journalistic standards unlike the hacks at CNN, FOX, ABC, NBC and CBS.

However your best bet is to read online several different major newspapers and the Associated Press and McClatchy web sites as well.
