How many of you cook for your spouses, or they cook for you?

i cook 6 nights a week i get home before she does and i enjoy cooking but i guess it is weird to cook only for yourself and not your spouse also well unless they are not at home or they are sick with the flu

I love to cook for my spouse. But he also cooks for me sometimes, (mainly bbq and the occasional surprise breakfast) I guess I'm kind of old fashion in that way. I think it is a little strange to only cook for yourself it seems selfish to me.

Edit: It's not strange if you have different schedules that's understandable.

I cook dinner for my family nearly every night.
My mother cooked dinner for us nearly every night until she went back to work and then my dad cooked dinner every night because he had to eat at 5:00pm or he got cranky - she didn't get home in time to pull that off anymore :)

I think it's a little weird for a married person to cook only for themselves unless a couple has completely different schedules and then it might be more convenient that way. Whatever works.

I didn't tell my ex I knew how to cook. But when we got married I showed him some skills he still talks about to this day. Then we got divorced. And no its not unusual for spouses to prepare their own meals.

i cook for my hubby breakfast and dinner cause hes not a cooker but he bbq's sundays, and he will make ez lunches or just go get fast food for lunch sometimes
