Depends upon the bike, and how good of shape the rider is in. On a mountain bike, average might be 10 mph. On a road bike maybe 18 mph. It really depends how much effort or how hard the person is going. On a road bike, you can do 25 mph. A leasurly pace may be 8 mph.

At a normal pace
I'm 14, a girl, not very muscular, on a road bike, on flat sidewalk, rushing to school.

How fast do I go?

Probably about 10 mph, plus or minus 2.

Be aware that wind resistance quickly becomes the limiting factor in how fast anyone can go.

BTW, be careful trying to go fast on a sidewalk. Most cyclist consider sidewalks more dangerous for riding than roads.

It depends on the bike and the terrain, wind, weight and fitness level. A beginner should be able to do 8-12, reasonable fitness 10-17, good rider 15-21, seasoned rider 20-26, pro 25 and up. this is on a road bike on level ground with no wind. Other bikes will be slower
