Hmm.. I'm gunna guess around 4.. I mean they are taking the "don't ask don't tell" thing out. Apparently gay are just as helpful as straight people... Go figure..

I dunno, sticking with 4

They way things are looking it may be never since california set a precedent with the whole Prop 8 issue. I wouldn't be surprised if every jerk who wanted to take our rights away saw this as an opportunity to be able to "vote on the rights of minorities". Also while Obama is in the white house it most likely won't happen either because he is against gay marriage but for civil unions I believe.

I don't know. I want to have faith in this new administration and it is still very new so who can really say. I believe it will happen in the next 8 years because it really is unconstitutional not to allow equal rights to all and religion can't continue to be such a big cause when you consider why this country was founded in the first place. It does help that we are not being completely dominated by republicans anymore. Have faith. We'll soon see. It took much longer to get equal rights for all races so we are gaining ground rapidly.

Depends what happens with the new ruling in California. If the CA Supreme Courts lets Prop 8 stand, then it will be appealed to the US Supreme Court, probably as a violation of the 14th Amendment.

Depends entirely how fast those justices get on it. If the supporters of gay marriage play it smart, they will not file with the USSC until Obama has replaced the two conservative justices that have announced their retirement forthcoming.
