how many miles per gallon does a 1997 Buick LeSabre get?

So I recently just got a 1997 Buick LeSabre and the gas gauge is broken so I'm trying to figure out how many miles per gallon it gets. I just put $10.00 at $2.79 a gallon in my tank, so I figure that is about 3.58 gallons? I set my odometer at 0, so at what number on the odometer should I put more gas in my car? I don't have enough money to get it fixed, so please don't suggest that. Thanks
