Assuming that the car is well taken care of how many miles can a honda go up to before it breaks down completely or to a point where repairs exceed the market price of the car.
I'm thinking about buying a 2001 civic with 124k miles.
Thanks!

Well I guess it all depends on the shape of the body and how well the car was taken care of. If you do all the recommended maintenance on the car such as oil and filter changes, keep the coolant topped up, change the air filter and such, the motor just will not die.
I believe that there are honda motors in existence with more than a million kilometers on them!

Hondas or Toyotas are definitely the way to go though. Both companies have fantastic reputations for long lasting and reliable cars. Unlike Chevrolet's, fords, dodges and the rest. They are on their last leg as they roll off the assembly line.

I have allot of friends with Honda's. A couple have mileage of 200k and I have a 89 Civic with 168k and no problems, It really comes down to how well you maintain the car.
