How many iPods or mp3 players do you own?

I had a two gig shuffle which broke down quickly. Now I use the one gig space on my phone for music.
I'm saving up for an iPod classic though, I'm tired of only being able to fit a gig at a time on my phone.

I have 1 working iPod but the headphone jack is coming loose... I really need to get it fixed. It's an 80 GB, so to be honest I don't feel a need to have more space. It holRAB more music than I really need on a trip, and 80 GB is enough that I can have a little of everything. Works fine for me. I had two at one point but my 60 GB broke.

just the one, an old 30gb ipod. it's miserably small compared to the size of my music collection. i almost got a new 160gb while visiting the US last month, but for some reason i opted for a new digital camera instead.

of course, it is quite a big step up from my very first mp3 player - a Diamond Rio PMP300. 32rab of storage, and it cost a whopping $200 back in 1998. it had this huge adapter that plugged into a parallel port, then the cable for the player plugged into that. it took forever to transfer music, even though it only held like 12 songs (128 kbps was the norm back then)

I don't know about other people, but I like to keep my music on my 120 GB as a backup should something happen to my external hard drive. Lets say I download a malicious virus that wipes out my hard drive, at least this way I've still got a copy of most of my music on my Zune that I can move back to my computer once the problem has been dealt with.

I feel the same way. Currently I just have one 8GB Nano, so I use it for everything. I could use more space as I'm having to rotate stuff out every day, but it keeps me focused on what I want to listen to that day rather than being overwhelmed and potentially shuffling instead.

I really don't get having more than one that's similar in size/capacity.

I've gone through numerous ipoRAB and quite frankly I'm tired of buying them. Right now I have a CD player and a car stereo, and thats really all I need when I'm not with my laptop.

I have my iPhone 3GS 32GB - that thing is my lifeline and I use it constantly. I keep essential playlists on there to listen to in the car or wherever. I also have an iPod Touch 8GB that I mainly use that for video and games (but I might sell it; got it as a gift) and I have a Ipod Classic 120GB that I keep most of my music on - that helps when traveling and you don't want to schlep the laptop around + I may want to recommend a random song for someone at work, it happens. Thinking about an iPod Shuffle for working out, but not in a rush to get one. I follow the cult of Mac... but we also have one PC for video editing that for whatever reason, can't be done on final cut.

I've had 3 nanos, (2g, 4g, and 8g) and a classic (80g). The first one lasted thoughout my first year of highschool, but I soon discovered that 2gs don't really hold that much. Then came my second, and that failed after a few months (same goes for the third). My classic has been going 2 years strong, and I couldn't be happier with the damn thing. I really need to get a picture of my current pod hahaha, it looks as if it has been though a ****ing war.

Well now I don't have anything, I went to put in my iPod to listen to while I was raking leaves. I caught the wire with the rake and instead of pulling the headphones out, the clips on the headphone jack broke and it pulled right out of the iPod :( My insurance on the ****er just ran out a few months ago too... Probably going to get a 160 GB classic now.

I've officially got 2 ipoRAB, although one of them is pretty much dead (battery life has expired)

The other one's battery is also reaching its end :(
