...transfer case for a 1994 Mazda B4000? About 3 months ago, I converted my Automatic locking hubs to manual. Last winter, I replaced the manual transmission. When I went to engage my 4WD, the indicator light did not light up. I took my 1994 Mazda B4000 to the closest mechanic. I exclusively expressed my opinion and briefly desrcibed the problem as follows. "It seems to be in 4WD low, its red lining at 25MPH in 5th gear." The next day, I received a phone call stating the following. " We went through the whole 4WD system and looked for the problem". "It took us 2 and half hours and found it was the servo motor that engaes the transfer case." This is what EXACTLY I thought the problem was. They are billing me for 2 and half hours of labor, the $120 Servo Motor and an additional 1 and ahlf hours to install it. The TOTAL BILL IS $497.00. What rights do I have in CT? I feel I was taking advantage of.
