How many of you have debaffeled your exhaust on the M50? Do you like the sound? and, did it change anything else on the bike like fuel consumption? any other adjustments need to be made if you do it.? Thanks in advance

I think the best way for most people is drilling the rear plate. I drilled four 1/2" holes in a "+" patter around the center hole, and threaded them with a tap. IT sounds much better, not too loud, not too soft. That way, if I ever want to quiet it down, I can just thread in some nice bolts. I still have my factory exhaust for warranty work. I bought another exhaust system to drill out so I would not ruin my stockies.

I love the way mine sounds...I gutted mine all the way to the front, took the old muffler insert and cut it in half with sawzall, reinserted the front piece back into pipes and drilled 2 holes on back side of mufflers for 2 stainless screws. sounds awesome, but you must disconnect battery for 15 mins. or so to clear the ECU so it can go thru a relearn process.

I gutted mine on my c50 cut about four inches off and inserted a cut in half glass pack.

i already drilled a few holes in the baffle. i did that last year, need more noise, so as soon as the weather warms up, i'll be taking them out completely :)

I gutted mine completely Im talking complete.Sounds great not to loud at idle but when I gas up its loud.I love them no loss of power or nothing rides and sounds great!
