How many gym visits per week make muscles grow the fastest: 2x/wk, 3x/wk, 4x/wk,...

If you isolate your muscles into 6 groups, then you should workout 6 times a week and rest on the 7th day, but if you want to be efficient, you're better off dividing your muscles into 3 groups and working out 3 times a week and doing cardio in between to get the amino acids out of your muscle tissue and rest on day 7 like God.
 
...5x/wk, 6x/wk or every day? I am trying to get big muscles in the shortest time without the benefit of growth enhancers, just exercise and healthy eating. Let's assume I am alternating muscle groups on each visit so I don't do the same things each time. I've heard that working the same muscles 2 days in a row inhibits growth. It seems different muscle building plans recommend a different number of gym visits per week. I want to know, if I could go every day, if I should, or whatever gets the job done most efficiently. Thanks.
