hey guys i am wondering how many can i put in a 10g tank. i have my sand and live rock in there, after a month now, it is now fully cycled.
yup, i did use a test kit :)

ah darn just one fish? k.
yeah, been looking at alot of fish.... i will most likely get a clown, maybe a hawk fish. i do want to add coral later on.
yeah, i kept a damsel for about 2 weeks or so, there was a small ammonia spike, and it went down. all my nitrates, nitrites and ammonia is at 0 now... i gave back the damsel to the fish store, he was only a tester fish.

Only a test kit can tell you if a tanks fully cycled. As far as how many fish, maybe one depending on what kind. I know this sounds kinda trendy but a clown fish would look nice, they only grow to about 2 inch's long and they tank raise them so they are more hardy then most. You can get a few inverts too, but really 10 gallons is a coral only with an Invert type of setup really. Good Luck

If you buy an ammonia test kit, and it reads 0 then your tank has been cycled provided you have been doing a fishless cycle using ammonia. Have you been doing this? If not, then your tank will not be cycled until you add fish as the waste from the fish is converted into ammonia, ammonia to nitrite, and nitrite to nitrate. You should have readings of 0 for ammonia and nitrite, and just slightly above 0 for nitrate.
You will only be able to add in one or two fish, possibly three if they are dwarf fish and will grow no bigger then 3 inches at adult size each.

hmmmm,, 10 gals,, pretty small environment ,,,water parameters have to be monitored very closely,,, wouldnt recommend corals in such a small tank,,,,, 1 or two damsels ,, pair of percula clowns ,,, few hermit crabs ,,, turbo snails

yes 1 or 2 fish is good
u can get 3 fish if they are dwarf or a smaller type of fish witch can only get less then 1 inch
there is a rule called 1 inch 1 gallon rule but doesnt work if u have a fish that is 6inches
u can make a reef tank which goes good with 2 clown dwarf clownfish
since u have live rocks

Edit my bad there isnt a dwarf clownfish

try to get a Ocellaris Clownfish
or a false clownfish
