How many days should I wait to take a pregnancy test .. ?

If I don't know when my period actually is, or it isn't as consistent. How many days should I wait after having unprotected sex. & I had it 1 day after this blood spotting that I thought was my period, but I am not sure. (I am 20 years old and have never really had a regular period.)

Wait for about 4 weeks after unprotected sex, then test. If you're not pregnant you should see a doc about your irregular periods.

Usually a HPT wont show up positive until you are atleast2 1/2 weeks pregnant.
