How many days did Adam/Eve stay in Garden of Eden?

The bible offers us no clues to the answer. If memory serves, some early Jewish writers claimed that the Fall occurred on the first day, while the Book of Jubilees puts it at like 4 years and a few months. Of course, both are probably wrong but it is still interesting. We know that satan is remarkably patient which lends support to the years theory. At the same time, we know that God has satan on a very short leash and yanks it at will. This makes it difficult to believe that He would have given satan such a long time to act. I personally don't believe it was more than a few days, but there really isn't anything to support my position.
