How many days can you go to jail for beating up a cop?

Theres this cop who is pulling me over on purpose just to piss me off cause i pissed him off at a night club, im 27 and next time he pulls me over im thinkin about beating the **** outta him so how many days am i looking at,because I have spring break on monday and I have nothing to do for a week.A week in jail will be worth it for kicking a cop's butt
 
For 6 months, if it were up to me.
Then you'd be on probation for a year or two, and the assault charge would be on your criminal record for life.

The fact that you are still in school at age 27 indicates that you're a loser.
 
Depends on the state..... Assault charges on a cop is not a good look lol......it can be a year or more...
 
You would be charged with assaulting an officer, which is a felony.
You'd go to trial. I would hope you got 5-10 years.
 
Assault on a public official = felony

Stay in jail for a few months til the trial comes up. Then I hope you'd get a year or so in prison.

You know the old saying better to be P------ed off than P-----ed on. Well this is one situation to consider. Right now you are P'od if you follow through with this P'On would not even begin to explain how you are going to feel. You goin' away, dude and it ain't gonna be days. Mercy!
 
even if you only had jail time for a few days it wouldn't be right away... i mean usually you would get a citation and then go to court next month, then get sentenced. i mean that's what happens when i get a ticket. but even if you got arrested you'd have to wait for a court date. so ud either sit in jail for a month or bond out and then go back to court and get sentenced for jail. and u would probably get sentenced to prison for at least a few months. btw this is very pre meditated. not just an irrational split second moment of insanity.
 
I don't know, but don't even think about it.
You would be there for a while, get a big fine to pay or could get beat up worse than him.
Possibly all three.
 
Depends on how much damage was done. Keep your hands to yourself, Battery on a Leo is asking for trouble! They'll all have it out for you!
 
If this is the same cop and there is not valid reason you may want to contact Internal Affairs and file a complaint. But you could go to jail for a very long time 15 years plus.
