...fall apart? I had an LHS that had that problem. They wouldn't fix it. I saw on Youtube that a bunch of Ram trucks have this problem.
 
Got five of them in the City Flet all are cracked or have big chunks missing from them. We even put protective carpets on them and left the windows cracked a little. Didn't work!
 
I have this problem with my 97 Dodge Ram but it didnt happen until late last year and really thats the only problem ive ever had in 11 years with this daily driver truck. And they fixed that in 01, and truthfully id rather have my dash crack over 11 years rather then my engine go out or something like that so it really doesnt matter to me, i just put a cover over it.
 
i had a Chrysler LeBaron that wouldn't turn left -

it would stall everytime i made a left turn - i had to drive it like a standard (keep my foot on the gas) when stopped at a light - or it would idle too low & stall
