How many camps where made for the Holocaust in the time period of 1939-1945?

I ahve looked but cna not seem to find an answer. I am doing a research paper and would like to do it on the Holocaust...but not sure how to go about it. Should I talk about Ann Frank or talk about the whole thing? Any help would be nice. Thanks
 
trying looking up nazi death camps? some of the camps were called - dachau, buchenwald, belzac, chelmno, treblinka, mauthausen and of course auschwitz
