How many 2010 FLHX Street Glide owners are......

happy with their stock motor, A/C and exhaust. I AM !!! This is the first time I personally like the looks and sound and power of the stock setup of my 96". I've put floor board extension's on and a taller windshield, lowers, etc. A cosmetic thing here or there. But through the years and especially on my last bike (1996 Ultra) experimenting with different performance part's and from what I've learned from reading comments on this Forum........ once you mess with it, the fun starts to go away and you spend time and money trying to get the bike to run right again. Your expectations of the performance parts you just put on just don't seem that great. You end up frustrated wishing you just left it the hell alone. Let the engineers at Harley play with it, it's their job.....you want bigger, faster, then use the money you would have wasted on add on's and buy a newer one, save yourself the frustration and enjoy the ride. Until they come up with a quick change ECM, pipes, cams, injectors, air intake, for what ever mood your in. Let it be, let it be.....Oh let it be.

I just traded an '08 Super Glide Custom for a '10 Street Glide. I agree that the looks are great for a stock bike. I always "personalize" and with this one I changed very little. I put on black levers as the polished ones just looked out of place, and changed the seat for a Lepera. Thats it as far as looks. I installed a Rinehart slip-on, a Vance and Hines VO2 intake, and a Screaming Eagle tuner. It all woke the motor up nicely.

I love by 2010 Street Glide. Am looking for a new exhaust that will be slightly louder, but I am happy with the power that it has now. Been adding some chrome, gear for touring, and some crash guards. Next is a seat that is a little more comfortable for long rides.

I traded in a 05 Heritage for a 10 FLHX and love it. Had to change the OEM exhaust for V&H Ture Duals and a Ventalator air cleaner. Engine is running hot. Getting Dyno with SERT soon, hopefully temp will drop and HP will go up. ?????

The SEST certainly helped me get rid of the HEAT on my '09
but your 2010 has a Catalytic Converter causing much more heat and restrtiction. You will also need to change out your head pipes.

I traded my 07 wide glide (that I put a fortune in mods on) for my 2010 Scarlet Red Street Glide. I must be getting a little older, because I love the "heavier" feel of the bike on the highway. With stock pipes I felt like George Jetson flying around in his spaceship, so I replace the stock pipes with V and H Big Radius 2 into 2 pipes and put a Screamn Eagle heavy breather on. This bike now sounds bad ass. On the highway the noise settles down and you can hear the stereo.
Before you ask. I installed a V and H fuelpak. Works great for me.

I went from a 2009 SG to a 2010 SG. The 2010 is a sick puppy. Mechanics told me the day I bought it to put a race tuner, stage one, and change the exhaust so it will run. I just have a problem with paying that much for a motorcycle and then have to invest another 2000 + to get the motor to do what it should be doing from the factory. Have you noticed that all the extras that Harley charges out the wazoo for the American Made Motorcycle is all from China?
