PITTSBURGH (KDKA) - A campaign worker who claimed she was the victim of a politically-motivated attack in which she was beaten, kicked and cut, now admits that she made the whole story up.

According to Pittsburgh police spokeswoman Diane Richard, Ashley Todd, 20, told investigators today that she "was not robbed and there was no 6'4" black male attacker.
"According to police, Todd said she thought of Barack Obama when she saw the "B" in her rearview mirror."

I do not think for a moment the McCain campaign had anything to do with it. Read the article and tell me why someone would do that over an election?

I knew she was lying the moment the story broke. The B was backwards! It just shows some of the racism still present in America, it really is a shame!
 
Obviously the girl has a screw loose, so it is not the fault of the McCain campaign.!!
 
It wasn't a black man who carved a B on her face. It was a demon like on the Exorcist - There just wasn't enough room to carve "Help Me" and the demon is racist and trying to pin it on Obama. No one has read what was carved across her torso but I can only imagine it would say something like "Your mother eats moose knuckle in hell"

She also said she had mental problems. She is waiting behind bars to receive a free psychiatric evaluation. The McCain health care plan would not allow for free psychiatric care, this mentally unstable woman would be without help.
 
The McCain campaign is deliberately fostering this kind of hate and divisiveness. It was the McCain Campaign who pushed this story on the media and then just dropped it when the found out it was a hoax. They are shameless!
 
That is a sick woman! I don't know how in the world she thought this would help McCain!
 
I was wondering what the hell happenend with that.Thanks to you now I know.Yeah... you know it's like when someone is about to die all the vultures come out and... well i'm sorry to say the mc cain ticket is pretty much KAPUT! I like John Mc Cain as a role model and a hero but he's not meant to be a president.
 
Just another mentally ill person it means nothing in terms of election! But we do need to do something about our mentally ill and homeless in the streets! Maybe farms where they can live and grow there own food with supervision!
 
I was kinda suspicious when I saw the B carved backwards as if it had been done looking into a mirror.
