How long will my puppy whine for?

My 7 month old pup was castrated yesterday and he has whined since I picked him up in the afternoon, I didn't mind so much but it continued through the night and then he has been doing it so far all day! I am taking him to the vets this afternoon but I just wished to know if anything could be done! I love him but he is driving me to distraction! PLEASE HELP!!!!

Maybe hes just scared. You should try and spend more time with him. And show him that you care.

Good for you for neutering your dog! He probably is a little sore still. If the vet gave you any pain meds, give them as prescribed. Otherwise call and see if you can pick some up or give him a low-dose aspirin.
