If i spend like 1-2 hrs on the weekdays and maybe 5hrs on the weekends how long will it take to do at least intermediate coding.

and how can i motivate myself to try to always learn it?

Depends on how much code you already know and how long you're working on it each day. I hold down a design job so I use all my spare time to learn PHP and I know intermediate stuff. I really need to crack down on it and learn it. At your pace, I'm sure you'll get it in no time flat!

Depeneds on what you want to do and how much coding you know now. While php is its own language, all programming languages have some similarities, while PHP isn't like other languages in what it can and can't do some of the functions are the same or similar.

I learned php in about 4 months to do most stuff. But like I said php has many power things that take time to learn and I am in no way a master but I do know enough to get me by for making login systems, feedback pages, and website generators.
