I'm very musically inclined, I read music, play other instruments (woodwinds, no strings), and I can devote my entire day for the next month to it. I'm investing in getting a quality teacher (once a week for an hour), and a quality instrument, but I really want to join the school orchestra, so I have a month. I'm very, very determined but I do want a realistic answer.
