How long will 2 feeder fish last with no filter?Help!!?

Hi,
Tonight i saved two little feeder fish that look like goldfish from my brother. He was going to feed them to his chinchlid. i know thats what they eat but i cant bare to see them getting killed. So i put them in this 8cmx5cm (approx) jar with no lid. There about 1 inch long each. My mom said she would go tomorrow morning to get a proper tank. I would like to no how long they could last without dying!!! I have this air pump thing that goes into this fountain. But i cant keep that on all night cuz it makes the water current in the jar go to fast for the little guys. Does anyone know how long they can last?Thanks.

Hmmm...they'll survive until tomorrow morning, but make sure you get at least a 55 gallon tank with a filter (even that'll be too small when they grow up). Feeder Goldfish grow up to a foot long (maybe even longer), and 2 require a 75 gallon tank when they grow up.

they should be ok for the night or a day but u should get a 10 gallon at least if not 20 for them wiht double filters and the air pump.
