How long to wait for a buyer to pay me for the car?

This is a Pa welfare car purchase. Buyer said he submitted the paperwork, but, I've waited from Nov 30th until now to see any $. I gave him a cut off date for the 18th of Dec. No deposit put down. I'd like to put it out front and try to re sell it. I called him and no reply back. What should I do now?

Sell the car. If he has been this long and you have heard nothing from him I would not worry about it. He can't possibly expect you to sit on the car forever. I would sell it with a care in the world. If he comes back tell him he can still have it if you still have it. If you sell it he is just out of luck.

what in the hell were you thinking about? You never sign the title over until the car is paid in full. and you do not sell the car in time payments because you are responsible for the car, It the new owner gets in a wreck you get the balm. Iif you go time payments the car stays with you until it is paid off. You just gave the car away for whatever money you got from the seller. Have an idea. If the title is still in your name and you still have a set of keys, you can go steel your own car.

I wouldn't wait, you gave a cut off date. When I sell a car, it's cash up front, no down payments no installments. Been ripped off twice by "friends" saying they will make payments.

If you didn't sign a contract with him and haven't received any money, you may sell the car to someone else. Easiest answer, doesn't fit every situation, but I think it does yours.
