A while ago my details were used to fraudulently obtain a car from Welcome Finance, the matter was reported and resolved but the account details were still showing up on a report from equifax as me owing £10k. I've advised Welcome Finance of this and they say the have put the actions in place to get this removed, they say it takes upto 48hrs and then I should check my online Equifax account to see if it has been removed which it should, is this correct ?
