How long should tank cycle b4 transfering fish over?

I just got my cichlids a new aquarium today. They are moving into a 125g from being in a 60g. I have scopped up all there rocks from in there tank and mixed it with more new (rinsed) rocks and put it in there new tank and also put all there decorations and one of there filters are working in it now. It has the most bacteria growing on it so I figured it would help it cycle faster. I put in water conditioner and its full and now just sitting and letting it cycle. The fish are sitting in there bare other tank while its doing its thing and I feel bad that they are wondering where there houses are and whats going on lol. How long should they stay in there before I can tranfer them? And the only thing I left in with the fish is one of there filters and the heater. When should I tranfer the heater over? Beofre or after because the new aquariums water is sure to be pretty cold by tomorrow. Anyway, First time transfering so I wanna do it right and safely. Any help appreciated. Thanks
