How long should i wait to have sex after miscarriage?

I was having a miscarriage and went in for a d&c on friday just gone,was wondering how long i need to wait before having sex again.The bleeding has stopped and is now just like a brown staining when i wipe.
We want to start trying again asap,and dont want to wait or miss the boat as my doctor said i will be very fertile.
Do you think its safe to start having sex again and does anyone have any news if they have gone through the same thing.

I have had 2 miscarriages in the matter of a year and both had to have a d&c done. My doctor told me to wait 4 weeks to have sex and then 3 months to try to conceive again. Your body needs time to heal and return to normal. If you start trying right away you could experience another miscarriage.
