How long should I expect to wait for the book I ordered from Barnes and Noble?

I ordered it in the store, at the counter, last Wednesday afternoon. I gave the employee my phone number and email address and told him I would come to the store to pick it up when it arrived.

He said it would take up to 6 business days, but my friend told me that when she ordered her book, it only took 3 days.

Can I expect to be able to pick up my book yet sometime this week? If it hasn't arrived by Friday, should I call and ask? I'm getting a tad impatient...
 
Well once a book I ordered took 2 weeks to ship, however it wasn't a very popular book. Recently I ordered a book and it was shipped in about 5-6 days. It was a very popular best-seller. That may be the reason. No, you shouldn't call and ask. They will get the book as soon as they can, and they will call you. It is their job.
 
when i order my books from there i get it in 2 days. it takes up to 6 days at most but you could get it the next day if the company isnt to busy. i would call and check on it since it has been almost a week.
