I'm 14 years old and 5'10" without shoes. I was wondering, once summer starts, i'm going to practice A LOT of basketball. So i'm wondering how many hours should i practice on my own? I already have team practices on weekdays for 2 or so hours. How long should i practice on my own? Remember, i want to get far in basketball, which means getting a D1 scholarship and hopefully going to play in the D-league or the NBA (i know it's highly unlikely though)

honestly its not always how long you practice its how intense you practice. you can go out there for 6 hours a day and not be accomplishing anything. The motto practice makes perfect is false "Perfect practice makes legends" In 10 min with someone passing you the ball you can shoot a few hundred shots. in 15 more min you can work on great ball handling drills. in 13 min you can work on moves to get a layup or jumper. 18 min for post moves. 10 min for free throws and ect. Go real hard "Game SPEED" you will be tired. then as it gets easier bump up the time. A game is about 1 1/2 hrs workouts for college players last about 45 min.

ok u want to get serious?? here it is!!!

wake up at 6 every morning and run run run!!
