them without college creds? i dropped out of school because of family issues im currently taking a class for my ged i went to a navy recruiter to talk to him about joining the navy he told me to come back its gonna take me about 2 months to be able to enlist into the navy but i don't wanna study so hard and in the end i go back to the recruiter and he says "we dont accept geds anymore"

As long as recruiting goals arn't being met, they'll keep the entrance standards low.

GED's are essentially the sign that while you may have the intelligence, its generally accepted that there could be an emotional problem.

By getting an AA or AS degree, it proves that you're trainable and that would take the place of the HS Diploma

The Navy is downsizing, so their mission is small and they have been meeting their mission. Downsizing means their recruiting mission is small.

The Army stopped accepting them because the Army has consistently been meeting their recruiting goals and met the goals they had to increase in size.

Right now, it doesn't look good GEDs with no college across they entire military.

Your best bet is to try them in about two to three months when the fiscal year ends and all the number counts reset.
