How long is that wait to ship to boot camp?(10 points)?

the recruiter just told me that the wait is about 8 months right now. . but i thought that depended on what job you get... i dont have 8 months! is this true? can anyone go into serious detail on this thank you!
 
It's all relative, but he is sort of right. It depends on your job, and how many people are signing up. The problem is so many people are enlisting due to economic problems that the ship out dates has been pushed back. Now lets say someone is supposed to ship out but gets a DUI and gets DQ from enlistment, and the squadran leaders calls up his recruiters and tells him to notify him if they have someone to take that perosn's place, that's where you come in.

By the way, what is your job?
