How long is it appropriate to stay at the restaurant for a dinner party for my...

...16th birthday? I've never had a dinner party at a restaurant before, and I was wondering how long are you generally accepted to stay for? How long SHOULD it be?
 
I don't know for sure if there should be an exact time. I would have dinner, dessert and coffee then stay after to talk and visit but not too long after the entire meal, maybe 20- 30 minutes at most after the meal. Play it by ear but don't overstay and tip well if staying afterward.
Maybe gifts are being exchanged after dinner.
 
b live me the party will seem way longer than you think,and i KNOW you dont want to be there all day. so take ur time shmoozing, but once the food comes eat, then stay an hour longer. it's the most proper time belive me
