How long does it take to repair and paint sash windows?

My landlord wants to repair and paint the sash windows at our property. There are around 6 single and double windows (doubles 6 feet across) One is quite rotten, the wood is split and breaks off easily. Any ideas no how much time it might take to do properly.
Thanks for the answers so far. Interesting - as landlord wants to use a guy who has started on the property below. He arrived and spent one hour prepping before beginning to paint, which with my limited knowledge of decoarting, especially wood, didn't seem right.

Allowing for the repairs probably 2- 3 days, depending on the weather and how easily accessible they are, and whether they are being painted inside or out - longer if weights and cords are being replaced and how much prepping is needed; also how many people involved - you could have a joiner for the repairs and a decorator for the painting.
