Hi. I recently moved to university (week ago) and have found it difficult to talk to people. I live in private residence with only one flatmate. I am naturally an introverted person but am always open to talking to people, I just wish they would speak to me first! Obviously I speak to my flatmate every day for a short time but other than him (and people behind counters!) I've only really spoken to a couple of other people and not really made any connection.
I've been out every day on tours and stuff and walking/sitting around the local park but don't enjoy partying all night - I'd rather have a pint and a good conversation with one or two people. Keep it mellow. I really don't care about having lots of friends if I have one or two really good ones - or a girlfriend!
Anyway just wondering how long it took some other people to make friends after arriving at uni. thanks...
