How long does it take to get chaptered out of the military?

If the military is chaptering someone out of the military (for like conduct or something not really positive), how long does that usually take. I know it takes a while. This person is out of training and at their duty station. When does all of the med benefits stop for the dependents and service member?
 
Varies widely depending on what it is for...disciplinary? 2-3 months on average...medical? 6 months to 2 years...All benefits end the day they are discharged generally...
