how long does it take to bicycle 40 km?

hi, im planning on riding my bicycle on flat land, and all i have to do is 40km, i just want to know how long would it take me and how many RPMs i should do a minute. im in ok shape, and always ride my bike, but nothing this big, it aint a racing bike nor mountain although it has gears and almost thin wheels. thanx

I used to ride back and forth between my duty station and home eveey day. It took me about 22 minutes to go 7.5 miles. SOme days it was faster some slower.

I average 17 km per hour.

I average 15mph on a mountain bike which is about 25kph. so it would take me 1hours 40mins. So allow 2 hours for your first time
but you will probably soon do it quicker.
