Quick story:
In April of 2010, I woke up in the morning with severe muscle pain in my chest. I felt like someone was trying to rip the muscles out and I couldn't get out of bed for 30 minutes. I didn't start taking any over the counter Motrin for a few weeks.....skip forward to August 2010. My chest feels better, took Motrin here & there but for a strain, according to my knowledge, it shouldn't take 4 months to heal unless it was really bad and/or I didn't give it immediate attention. (Yes, I know, I probably didn't give it proper care.) In August, I was prescribed 3 times the strength of Ibuprofin from my doctor....I'm not supposed to go in for a check up until December.....If anyone knows anything about chest strains that last longer than 8 weeks, could you please give your feedback? I'm probably going to push my doctor for a MRI cuz I've had x-rays and they came out negative. The pain isn't nearly as bad as it once was, but it still lingers.
I know I typed a lot, but I've rarely injured myself in physical activities and it's been very frustrating not being able to do things I would normally do.
