I've tried several businesses for a short time usually not more than 6 months then stopped, because it seemed as if it wasn't going to work. I just started teaching CPR. I am a registered nurse with a MBA in Health-care management. I have always wanted to have my own business. I love teaching the CPR classes and it's a good fit for me.
I place ads in the Sunday news paper starting last Sunday and I received about 17 calls total for people wanting to take the CPR class. This week though it's Wednesday and I have received only 3 calls. This has made me very discouraged. I have spent at lot of money on equipment and I'm starting to feel kind of frustrated.
I just prepared to mass mail 100 letters to health-care agencies, that I know require CPR as a state requirement.
I am trying to be patient.
How long should I expect it will take before people realize my business is out there and possibly start to use my services?
What are some other ways I can get people to know about my business?
Thanks
