How long does antidepressant take to work?

I recently raised my dose of Paxil from 20mg to 30mg. Does anybody know how long before it start working? I been at new dose only 7 days. Is the same as when start where you have wait at least month before it start working.

Any input would be appreciated.

I would suggest you look into using "controlled release" Paxil.I took regular Paxil for a time and it didn't seem to do much.I switched to "controlled release" Paxil
and it was helpful.I increased my daily dose from 25mg to 37.5mg about a month ago,and the stronger controlled release Paxil seems to help.Good luck..Bill
 
Antidepressants can take up to 6 weeks to reach their full effect.

When I upped my dose, it seemed to take *alot* longer to feel the effects, but I've been heard of people feeling alot better in 2 weeks.
