Hey folks I have a 4 month old apricot pug and I bought her from a breeder in late January. I took her to the vet earlier this week and she has a urinary tract infection. They gave her some pills to take twice a day and it doesn't seem to be working. She goes to the bathroom quite a bit and every now and then she pees a little blood. I don't know if she's going through heat, but I will spay her. Lately, she's regressed in terms of potty training. She'll go to her spot where I want her to poop or pee but every now and then she pees on the carpet or in the kitchen. I had to block the kitchen entrance just so she doesn't pee on the floor.
How long does this infection last? The vet gave her a two week supply of pills so it might be taking longer than I expected.
