I'm considering purchasing a used 1998 Toyota Avalon to replace my (horrifically gas-guzzling) truck, but I'm wary because the car I'm looking at has about 225K miles. I'm told "Toyotas last forever" and this car was apparently well-maintained ... I'm a college student and usually drive about 5,000 miles a year (though I am trying to bike more and cut down driving, period) and always keep up with regular oil changes, etc.
Is this car going to last me a few years or few thousand miles? Is $3900 a reasonable asking price (apparently it KBBs at $4100)? Thanks a lot!
