How long do you need to wait to take the test for your driver's license

after getting your permit? How long does a 16 year old need to wait before they take the test for their driver's license after getting their permit?
(more specifically- in ct with driver's ed, if you don't know the answer that specifically, just tell me what you do know, or give me an estimate)
