How long do baby bearded dragons usually take to get used to their environment?

i currently have a 8 inch long bearded dragon named Puff. i got it from petco and they insisted that he should eat large crickets, but i know they are wrong. I got him 3 days ago and have the reptisun 10 desert uvb bulb, but he seems to just lay wherever i put him. When crickets are around him he gets up but dosnt actually give chase to them. he stands where he is and when a cricket wanders by he just keeps sticking his tongue out and misses. He gets them ever once and awhile but majority he misses. I assumed he could just see his reflection so i coverd the inside of the glass with white paper, to no avail.

Bearded Dragons will eat greens (mustard greens, kale, carrots etc) and meal worms and wax worms and when he gets older give him a pinky mouse (1 every 2 months! if you give him one every month he might die from raw undigested meat in his belly). Bearded Dragons get accustomed to their new homes in 24-48 hours.
 
get him baby meal worms cause i got him from petco to and they said feed him meal worms and he eats those just put them in a bowl
