I saved 2 kittens from death row at the shelter. My plan all along has been to keep them outside. They are only 3 months old so I decided to keep them in the house for a short time. I wanted them to get used to me and know where their food comes from so they would stick around after they go outside. Next month i plan on getting them fixed and introducing them to the outdoors. Now that I've gotten attached to them I am afraid they will run away or get killed. I live in a quiet neighborhood with little traffic and I feel it is pretty safe though. Keeping them inside their entire lives is not an option. There is cat hair and litter everywhere. I constantly have itchy eyes and my house stinks. I will let them come inside on cold winter nights but they will be mainly outdoor kitties. I would like to read some success stories about outdoor cats please?
I didn't ask for lectures. I asked how long your outdoor cats lived. If you dont have outdoor cats then DONT bother answering. I vacume and clean the boxes everyday. Anyone who has a litterbox in their house has a STINKY house. You cat lovers just cant smell it because you're used to it. I live in the country where cats are meant to be/ LOVE it outdoors.
