if you dont have a home for the fish you shouldnt bring it home. you should have a tank of atleast 3 gallons cycled and ready for your new fish. why dont you buy a small tank and start cycling it and in the mean time go to the craft store and get the biggest fish bowl you can find, they are cheap. you will have to do partial water changes every 3 or 4 days with the bowl until your tank is ready. you will need to buy water conditioner to treat your water before introducing it to the fish.
