how long can a 2000 ford fiesta zetec s last? ?

my budget is around £2000 and the ones in good nick are around 100k+ and was wondering how long they can go upto?.

also insurance, how much do they cost and anything i need to know about running cost, reliablity etc. (Considering this as my first car- good idea or bad?) any other good 1st cars(no french ones pls).
