How long before you had sex in your relationship?

I've been seeing someone for about a month and officially for a week. I'm falling in love with him and we haven't even kissed yet - he's abit shy but I know he wants it too. But I can't help but feel impatient. Like, at night I keep thinking about us having sex in my bed. How long before you had sex and what should I do??
I'm 18 - he's 20.

He is my first.
 
i knew my husband for 4 years b4 i dated him, i dated him for 1 yr and 11 1/2 months before our first time.we dated 2 more years and got married. he is in the military and i am 19, he is 21.
 
When I first had sex I knew the guy like face to face for a week but we've known eachother over phone for like 6 months. Now another guy I only knew him for like 2 days and had sex. But u should wait and kiss him first.
 
First of all how old are you? I waited to have sex for 5 months (granted I was 16 at the time) and have been with this man for 11 years. So my story could be different than yours. But I would say to wait until you really know that he cares for you, especially since you guys haven't even kissed yet. As to that, I think you should just go in for the kiss, let him know that your ok with it.
 
Okay well you can have sex whenever you feel the time is right. Just stop to think that if it's too early for you to have sex with him then the relationship will turn to be just about sex, if that's not what you want give it a while. If you're really into this person give him a couple more months, but don't give it up too quickly!! And I know what you mean about being impatient! Same here! But don't make him think he can get what he wants whenever he wants. It's when YOU want alright? Good luck
 
Just when your comfortable some people sleep with others on the first night some wait until after marriage. You are sexually attracted to him which is good, I would wait until you have kissed though before you go any further. I waited four months until we slept with one another. Although we have split up now - we lasted a while though.
