...Ford F-250 take? I have a 2003 Ford F-250 6.0 L Diesel. A Ford Dealership told me that I needed a new turbo and gave me an estimate. I took the estimate and went to another shop who beat the price and installed another turbo. Turns out the truck is still sluggish and will not get up and go because the turbo was not the problem like the Ford Dealership said. The shop owner of the place that did the turbo said it was the EGR valve and cooler. We did put in a EGR valve from another Ford and the sluggishness got better and the truck accelerated but not to its full potential. Do you recommend just replacing the valve and seeing if the sut and stuff will clear from the cooler or a complete replacement? How much would this cost and how long should it take? The mechanic/owner of the shop also told me that when replacing the cooler and valve you risk "popping" or screwing up the oil cooler. Is this true. I would appreciate any help and advice because I am a college student and in this market and economy I can't afford much.
