How is this joke funny?

You've heard of the joke Why did the chicken cross the road? To get to the other side. But how is that funny? I don't really understand it. Please tell me.

Well its more from the idiotic side of the joke that makes people laugh ( lame people ). That joke is unbelievably lame that some lame people laugh at it.
Eg.
What did the farmer say to another farmer?
'' We're farmers ''
Some lame people who have incomplex way of thinking, will laugh at that joke
