How is the university of southampton?

I've applied to the university of southampton in microelectronics systems design.
I wanna know how it's like？
Does it have a good reputation?I mean, In UK, compared with the Imperial College, it's total ranking is not that good.But,as for this specific field of study, Is it good or famous?
